Sad Times

It's been awhile since I've posted an update, but we've had two deaths in the family. Last Tuesday, August 7th, my Uncle Ben Stephenson passed away after suffering from cancer for two years now. I won't ever forget him or his cigars, LOL. He used to let us go fishing in the pond out behind his house every year at Easter. We would climb all over his tractors and run all over his fields and he would just laugh at us with that cigar hanging out of his mouth. He never talked a whole lot, but he was a good man, a good husband to Aunt Pat and a good dad to my cousins. The other death was this past Saturday, August 11th, my ex-mother-in-law, Pat Wall passed away around 4:30 of kidney and heart failure. I knew she was getting in bad shape, but it's still such a shock. I loved Pat alot, even though we didn't always agree on things, she was a good mother-in-law to me and she did love her grandchildren. The kids are doing ok, I guess, they're both kinda shutting down about it. Jeremy came over Saturday night to tell them, he called me on the way to see if he could come talk to them, he wanted to tell them himself. The kids were upset, but they took it well, I think.
